God calls us as Christians to live under the influence of the Holy Spirit. In doing so, we can experience a transformed and purposeful life that brings glory to God and blesses those around us. Ephesians 5:18 says,
“Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery. Instead, be filled with the Spirit.”

By keeping our heads and bodies clear, we can receive better divine guidance and revelation. The counsel of the Holy Spirit is often drowned out when we allow earthly things to distract us.
Being under the influence of the Holy Spirit involves acknowledging one’s sins, seeking forgiveness, and experiencing the joy of redemption.
A deep connection with God and a continuous awareness of His presence characterizes this spiritual alignment. Cultivating this relationship requires consistent prayer and a conscious effort to stay attuned to the Holy Spirit throughout the day.
When we steer away from this path by indulging in habits that hinder spiritual growth, we move further away from the intended influence of the Holy Spirit. God wants us to remain receptive to His guidance and to prioritize spiritual nourishment over worldly temptations. The Holy Spirit instills virtues like patience, enabling us to trust in God’s timing and remain steadfast in faith.
Living under the Holy Spirit’s influence results in a life marked by peace and joy. It empowers individuals to confront adversities with wisdom, understanding, and the Fear of the Lord. We meet challenges posed by doubt and insecurity with resilience, as the Holy Spirit provides strength and assurance in moments of vulnerability.
The enemy’s attacks, whether in the form of doubt or low self-esteem, are ineffective against the protective shield of the Holy Spirit. By embracing the Spirit’s empowerment, believers stand firm in their identity and purpose, unaffected by negativity and fear. The power of the Holy Spirit surpasses any threat thrown your way, ensuring victory and spiritual fortitude in the face of adversity.
Father God, thank You so much for sending the Holy Spirit to be with me at all times. Thank You for the wise counsel provided by Your Word and the Holy Spirit so that I can live a life that is pleasing to You on a daily basis. Help me to have ears to hear so that I can live under the influence of the Holy Spirit. Amen
