Amid the daily hustle, where routines and responsibilities dominate, it’s all too easy to sideline the vital act of praising God’s name. Caught in a whirlwind of activities, we often forget to pause and appreciate the immense power and beauty in recognizing and exalting God for who He is. God is exalted in creation and can be in your life as well.
The New International Version of the Bible, in 1 Chronicles 29:11, encapsulates the essence of God’s majesty beautifully:
“Yours, Lord, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the majesty and the splendor, for everything in heaven and earth is yours. Yours, Lord, is the kingdom; you are exalted as head over all.”
1 Chronicles 29:11,
This verse serves as a poignant reminder of God’s supreme authority and the splendor that belongs solely to Him.
There are countless reasons for us to praise God. From the way He sustains and provides for us to His meticulous care for every area of our lives, God’s care and sovereignty never end. Acknowledging these acts of divine kindness not only draws us closer to Him but also fills our hearts with gratitude.
The chance to glorify God is boundless. There’s no limit to the praise or love we can show. God’s grandeur is everlasting, and it’s a beautiful privilege to join in with believers everywhere in elevating His name.
As you ponder the immense diversity of our world—its countless nations, languages, landscapes, and climates, along with the vast array of creatures that call it home—let your mind embrace the splendor of God’s creation. Envision yourself at the base of a grand, metaphorical mountain, preparing to embark on a journey toward deeper understanding and appreciation of God’s holiness. This path is characterized by humility, propelled by the strength Jesus provides, and brightened by the joy of salvation.
God of Creation, I am Yours. I confess that I do not spend enough time reflecting on the grandness of your character and the kindness of your nature. Thank you for the depth of who You are, and for the ways that it impacts me. I ask that you would remind me of your character that my heart might be moved to praise more often. You are so worthy, and I give you honor. Thank you, Lord Jesus. Amen.
God is exalted when you remember what He has done for you and in you. Remember, He is eternally worthy of your praise. Let peace from Jesus guide you as you continue abiding in Him.
