God’s divine will for sanctification through Jesus Christ’s sacrifice signifies profound forgiveness, where sins and transgressions are eternally forgotten. Embraced within the eternal family of God, we enjoy the reassurance of everlasting belonging and forgiveness, embodying divine grace and redemption.
Just like planning a family reunion involves securing venues and organizing logistics, our spiritual journey also involves preparation. Although some reunions might bring discomfort due to strained relationships, every week, when we come together at church, acts as a micro-reunion, fostering spiritual unity and fellowship within the Christian family.
Keep in mind that your Christian family is bigger than you can comprehend. When we meet the Lord, we’ll also unite with people from across time and space. There will be people of every tongue, tribe, and nation. Imagine the profound unity and inclusivity within the global community of believers.
Heavenly Father, I long for the day when You will draw all Your children together and bring Your everlasting kingdom to Earth. It’s going to be the best family reunion—because You are a good, good, father. Help me to live now in light of that day—to pursue peace and wholeness in my relationships, to keep meeting together with my spiritual family, and to encourage them to follow You. In Jesus’ name I pray: Amen.
